NEWTOWN TWINNING SUPPORTING NEWTOWN FOOD FESTIVAL 2019
THE FRENCH VILLAGE 2019
Our friends from Les Herbiers are joining us again this year for the sixth time at the Newtown Twinning marquee FRENCH VILLAGE 7th and 8th September 2019
As many of you are aware Le Comite de Jumelage Pays des Herbiers have contributed to our Food Festival for the last 5 years bringing a fine selection of Vendee food and wine products for Newtown People to enjoy.
This year our FRENCH VILLAGE is bigger and better! It’s also the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Twinning Charter so a large party from Les Herbiers will be visiting us and contributing to our Food Festival.
Our friends from Les Herbiers will be selling brioche; variety of Vendee wines; paté (grillons de vendée, rillettes de canard, rillettes de poulet); saucisson; vinaiger and salt with herbs and cheeses and more!
A French Cafe atmosphere will be provided in and outside our marquee with tables and seating to relax and enjoy the products. French wine by the glass with small plates of Vendee cheeses and small plates of Meats to enjoy with your glass of wine.
An opportunity to taste and purchase fine wines from Alsace along with local Vendee reds, whites and aperitifs all provided by a Les Herbiers wine supplier.
We will also be supporting Newtown businesses selling some of their products and promoting our next visit to France in March 2020 for the Music Exchange.
It’s also an opportunity for you to meet the Newtown Twinning Association and to find out what we have planned for the future and also to talk to NTA about any ideas you may have for links between organisations or possible projects in the future.
See you in THE FRENCH VILLAGE 2019
