An International Cycle race and large trade fair held in our twin town. Held from the 11th to 16th October 2017. Race Sunday 15th October. A party of 10 from Hafren Cycling Club will be attending with two competitors entered in the prestigious Time Trials race on the Sunday and 4 members participating in the Sportives / Randonnee on Saturday. Newtown Twinning have supported Hafren Cycling with their applications for the event and in arranging accommodation, information and communication for the event.
This is the second time that HCC have represented Montgomeryshire at this international event. We wish both Emma and Tyler all the very best in the Time Trials race on the Sunday.
We are hoping to join HCC next year at this event as the club is now committed to attending this annual event in our twin town. Good wishes to HCC:
Newtown Twinning Association send their very best wishes to the party of 10 representatives from Hafren Cycle Club on their second visit to the CHRONO cycle race and fair held in our twin town of Les Herbiers.
Last year 3 club members Steve Taylor, Steve Coldicott and Alun Roberts visited the CHRONO for the first time with support from Newtown Twinning, to take part in the Randonnee event.
This year the club are returning in greater numbers to take part in both the Randonnee and the Time Trials race. The event is held in Les Herbiers from the 11th to the 16th of October 2017. @chronodesnations
Newtown Twinning Association has been working with Les Herbiers to arrange accommodation during the event although we are very sorry that we are unable to join HCC at the event this year to offer our support. We are also pleased that some of the returning members of HCC will be reunited with their fellow cyclists, friends and hosts from last year’s event.
The club are pleased that both Emma Serjeant and Tyler Brennan have secured a place in the prestigious Time Trials race on the Sunday. Newtown Twinning is very pleased that we have been able to help facilitate the participation of a number of local cyclists in our twin town event. A recent quote from Emma Serjeant one of HCC participating members:

Next year we are hoping to join HCC at the CHRONO to provide support to our local cycle club and help them with their preparations for this prestigious event.
