NTA Supporting Newtown Food Festival 2025 | The French Village 2025

Our friends from Les Herbiers are joining us again this year for the tenth time at the Newtown Twinning marquee FRENCH VILLAGE 6th and 7th September 2025.

Both Newtown and Les Herbiers Associations are run entirely by Welsh and French volunteers.  Earlier this year we visited Les Herbiers for an International Beer Festival and we took with us two local brewers Monty’s and Bragdy Tanat who sold their beers at the festival.

As many of you are aware Le Comite de Jumelage Pays des Herbiers have contributed to our Food Festival for the last 9 years bringing a fine selection of Vendee food and wine products for Newtown people to enjoy.
This year our FRENCH VILLAGE is returning. We will be offering a different range of products this year along with the usual selection of Vendee and French wines.

The FRENCH VILLAGE will be offering a chance to taste genuine French Galette and Crêpes made freshly in the French village marquee by two experienced French cooks who will also be demonstrating the processes in the Chefs demo marquee at 11.00am on the Saturday morning.  This year you can also purchase Breton cidre, Farine de Sarazin (Galette buckwheat flower), genuine French Brioche, various caramel products, salt and vinaigre products.

A FRENCH CAFE atmosphere will be provided in and outside our marquee with tables and seating to relax and enjoy the products. French organic wine by the glass at a very reasonable price will be on sale along with local Beers from Monty’s and Bragdy Tanat.  Visit us to enjoy a French Galette or Crêpes with your glass of French wine and relax in our French Village atmosphere.

Its also an opportunity to taste and purchase fine wines with local Vendee and French regional reds and whites, all provided by Les Herbiers Twinning Association.

And an opportunity for you to meet the Newtown Twinning Association volunteers and to find out what we are planning for the future.  It’s also an opportunity for you to talk to NTA about any ideas you may have for links between organisations or possible projects in the future.
